About the Presenter

Sunny Jane Morton is Editor of the National Genealogical Society’s NGS Magazine and author of the new guide, Searching for Sisters: A Guide to Researching Catholic Nuns in the United States. She is past editor of Ohio Genealogy News and co-author of How to Find Your Family History in U.S. Church Records; for both roles, she received NGS awards. She is a Contributing Editor of Family Tree Magazine and past content contributor at the FamilySearch, Your DNA Guide, and Genealogy Gems websites. She is a career writer, editor, and researcher whose experience dates back to time as a History and Humanities undergraduate student, when she was the religion section editor for an off-campus student newspaper and delivered her first paper at an academic conference.
