Event Description
French-Canadian ancestors can prove tricky to trace from their settlement in the United States to their origins in Quebec. Their names were fluid (dit names, translated names, altered names), many were illiterate, they were mobile, and immigration records did not begin until 1895. Margaret R. Fortier, CG® will share her best practices for connecting French-Canadians in the US to their origins in Quebec.

NEAPG members should check their email for Zoom link. Zoom room opens 30 minutes early (6:30 PM ET) for socializing.
