This is a complete re-write of the rules for citizenship by descent and has resulted in a massive expansion of potential clients for genealogists across Canada and beyond. \n\nTo help our members understand these changes and meet the requirement to understand Canadian law as it applies to our profession, we are pleased to present an APGCAN panel presentation on Canadian Citizenship Post Bill C-3 for Professional Genealogists. Panelists include:\nLisa Middlemiss (Montreal, QC) and Amandeep Hayer (Langley, BC), immigration lawyers and co-authors of “Maintaining Permanent Residence Status and Acquiring Citizenship.”\n\n\n	\n	Shawn Riel, Assistant Director for Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).\n	\n	\n	Theresa McVean, APGCAN chair.\n	\n\n\nThe panel will be moderated by Jenna Lemay, APGCAN programming committee member.
