DESCRIPTION:Family History Research: A Guide for Nebraska Librarians\n\n04/12/26 07:30 PM CST\n - 04/12/26 08:30 PM CST\Description:\nFamily History Research: A Guide for Nebraska Librarians\nPresenter: Marcia Stewart\n\nThe Great Plains Chapter recently presented a program at the annual Nebraska Library Association Conference that was received with much enthusiasm; local library personnel are clearly eager to know more about genealogy research, and how they can better answer their patrons’ questions. We are sharing this presentation as something that other chapters might like to emulate after adjusting it to their own locales.\n\nDescription: Interest in family history continues to grow, and librarians are often called upon to assist patrons in learning more about their roots. This session will enable library staff, regardless of budget or experience in genealogical research, to help family-history researchers avail themselves of the many free resources for discovering local, national and international records.\n\nThis presentation is open to all members.
